A blank slate, where nothing exists. It is the source of all, that is, all there has been and all that will ever be. Back to its infinite depths, is where all whom relinquish their ties to Reality are doomed to return. Though, despite its infinite vacancy, its vacuum generates an energy that spans its endless space: Amunae. This source lacks bounds, allowing those whom harvest it to attain accomplishments without parallel, with the cost of its vacuum tether tightening. This is the downside to a Celestial’s infinite power and true immortality, meaning their execution of this power source is often used sparingly. Many have been banished to the eternal plane of Oblivion in the past, spending millennia recovering from their former strain — even striving to break the boundaries that keep them restrained. Legend has it, that a small few amongst the thousands sent there, managed to pull themselves back to Reality.

Though, in fear of non-existence, it is not unheard of for some Celestials to tie themselves down to a physical or even metaphysical instance within Reality to prevent from being flung back into Oblivion. Some Celestials have even slashed their tether from it, relinquishing their source of infinite power in trade for ageless immortality — these members of former divinity tend to imitate mortals to avoid attention or endangerment of their existence. Death, whilst untied to Oblivion, is absolute without the chance to return after-all.

There is a danger that exists for all Celestials that remain tied to Oblivion however, known as the Amunae Singularity. The concept that if enough Celestials induce a strong enough pull on Oblivion’s reserves of amunae, then its vacuum can transcend across all of those whom are tethered to it, plucking them all out of Reality simultaneously and consuming them into its fathomless depths. A fear for the initiation of this catastrophe brought rise to The Order of Pax, which governed the utilization of Celestial’s influence across the cosmos.
